here's a review of all the elf lip products that i own!
first of all, if you haven't heard of elf; eyeslipsface.com ~ do yourself and your wallet a favor!
- plumping lip glaze in "fire coral"
- luscious liquid lipstick in "ruby slipper"
- hypershine lipgloss in "berry cherry"
- mineral lipstick in "ripe rose"
the plumping lip glaze:
the color is pretty pigmented, and a good color for spring and summer, even early fall. the clear plumping side is a great top coat for any lip color, whether it be lipstick/gloss/balm. i found that the color side is kind of like a gloss in itself and doesn't really need the plumping side. also, if i use the plumping side right afterwards, the color gets mixed in with the rest of the clear glaze. i'll usually apply just a little bit of the color and take my finger and work it into my lips, wait a while, then add a couple dots of the clear glaze and smack my lips together.
for a dollar, this is a really great dual use product!
the luscious liquid lipstick:
a great one step lip color for those on the go girls like me. it's not too pigmented like a lipstick would be, but then again, it also has a bit of a glossy effect to it. so, you can put it on lightly or heavily for various looks. the color i got it in is a great dark red for fall and winter. it's so easy to just apply once without any other product, and the color payoff and staying power is pretty good. actually, it's pretty normal. and that's awesome considering it's only a dollar.
hypershine lip gloss:
this is kind like the liquid lipstick, but a bit more sheer. also it has a plastic bristle brush instead of a big doe foot. i love using this throughout the day because i don't need to have a lip balm underneath, i can just apply it straight to my bare lips, and i don't have to worry about them being dry. they're tinted pretty well, and with their range of colors, you're bound to fall in love with one of them.
the mineral lipstick:
this is actually the first lipstick i've ever fully bought and owned. i've had others given to me only, and they've kinda sucked. so i never thought i'd like lipstick. but this mineral lipstick is everything you could want for less than $5. i was so surprised by its moisturizing qualities, it's pigmentation, and packaging. i bought a darker color because of fall and winter, but they have such a wide range. i recommend this to any girl looking for a no fail lipstick.
